New Projects Update!
Greetings!
I haven't updated in a bit, so I wanted to tell you about all the things I've been working on:
Last Saturday (6/12) I had my 2nd Book Signing & Reading for Ballad of the Reverie Organ, the sequel to The Axeboy’s Blues. Both readings had pretty good turnouts and have left me super inspired. I think I might do a reading/signing every two months or so.
Last Wednesday (6/9) was the first in-person show of Esoterotica since the pandemic started. I attended but didn't read, but I should be writing some new pieces in the coming months to perform on stage. It's so exciting to see poetry on the stage again!
I've been working on outlining & plotting the future books of The Agents Of Series. I'm playing with the idea of condensing my ideas into 2 more books, so the series would be 4 books total. Then I can do spinoff books with the ideas I still have. I'm not sure if I'll stick with the 2 book idea, but so far it's working out pretty well. I'm working on a music project! This is the main project I'm working on at the moment.
I've been recording myself reading poems and sending them to a friend/collaborator, Chris, who is an amazing musician. Chris is doing effects on my voice and layering electronic music and noise and beats behind my words. It sounds really freaking cool! So far we have 4 rough drafts of songs and he has a few more pieces I've sent him that he's working on. Some of the tracks are from my short story/poetry book, Visions from the Dream Gyre, and some are pieces I'm writing specifically for the project. We should have an album ready in the coming months.
Here's Chris' solo work on Spotify if you want to check him out: Automatic Music Society
More coming soon,
Andy
